The ICT Commercial Branch is seeking talented and motivated Commercial Managers with drive, integrity and passion to support a range of commercial activities across Defence Digital Group (DDG). We are looking for multiple APS6 Vendor Managers to fill current and future vacancies across the following areas:
- Procurement & Contract Management
- Commercial Vendor Management.
- Commercial Software Management.
- Performance Management.
- Understand and apply the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, procedures and compliance obligations providing guidance to business areas within DDG.
- Undertaking procurement planning, tendering and contract management activities ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.
- Provide advice and guidance on software arrangements to internal stakeholders including technical teams and senior management.
- Support negotiations of enterprise level arrangements to achieve optimal value for money outcomes.
- Build and sustain productive working relationships across DDG to support delivery of Defence capability, and key external stakeholders.
ICT Commercial Branch (ICTCB) is within the Group Operations Division. ICTCB is responsible for a wide range of commercial activities across an ICT portfolio of over $1 billion. The Branch oversees the commercial management of the Terrestrial Communications, Centralised Processing and End User Support Services and Enterprise Software contracts, manages supplier relationships, leads sourcing activities for new or refreshed enterprise ICT capabilities and provides commercial assurance services to DDG. Group Operations Division is responsible for leading Group business operations functions and reform activities; this is achieved by designing and implementing the DDG Governance framework and modelling the underlying processes and ways of working of the group. The Division also works to optimise Group performance and strengthen industry partnerships through a centralised commercial capability.Our Ideal Candidate

- Work within legislative framework, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence mission and business objectives.
- Support the management of a portfolio of contracts throughout the procurement lifecycle including sourcing, negotiating and managing vendors.
- Have experience and working knowledge of procurement and contract management, preferably within the public sector or large organisations.
- Support the strategic assessment of current Defence capability, translate business strategy and objectives, identify required changes in capabilities and emerging technologies relevant to Defence business outcomes.
- Build and maintain working relationships through effective relationship management, including engaging with stakeholders, manage expectations and concerns to develop a shared understanding of the business benefits and risks to achieve outcomes.
