Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Vendor Management Partner to join their Sydney or Canberra team. This is a 12 month contract. This role is open for Australian citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.

The Vendor Management Partner is accountable under limited direction to perform complex work with external partners and key stakeholders to ensure the effective and sustainable implementation of the Agency's Strategy, specifically working with representatives from software providers. They will exercise both initiative and judgment in the application of practices and procedures in order to provide technical, professional, and/or policy advice in relation to complex problems.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Work with range of internal and external stakeholders; applying an in-depth knowledge and understanding of complex project or program management involving the implementation and sustainment of the agency; providing expert advice on agency policy requirements, resolving complex problems and issues management.
- Manage contracts, service agreements and purchase orders; monitor expenditure and emerging issues that may impact on Agency priorities engaging with risk and undertaking risk management activities for area of responsibility, ensuring compliance and delivery of outcomes.
- Develop reports on project, program and work area objectives, outcomes and performance for presentation to the branch executive.
- Monitor and coordinate contract management including developing contract documentation, managing procurement processes and addressing contractor performance issues.
- Provide a range of administration, project, program, support services to facilitate the delivery of outcomes Understand, document and analyse project, external partners and stakeholder priorities, identifying potential and emerging risks, establishing and testing options; make decisions that are based on professional judgement and in the context of a complex and changing environment.within the branch.
- Develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging and collaborating to achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation to coordinate cross-agency or multi-agency planning of project and program delivery.
- Provide a single point of contact between the branch, external partners and related key stakeholder groups; engaging and collaborating to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation to ensure successful delivery of project, program and work plan priorities.
