Eligibility

Division Responsibilities
The Information Technology Division (ITD) supports a wide range of business functions,
applications, systems, and data infrastructure. We manage a number of publics facing digital
systems and lead a significant data capability that supports our compliance and regulation
functions, policy development and program delivery. We are also responsible for delivery of
desktop services to over 6,000 staff and oversee the department’s protective and cyber
security services. ITD is growing to support a significant reform program focused on
modernising and transforming Health and Aged Care services. We are looking for passionate

Branch Responsibilities
The Portfolio Management, Architecture & Commercial Services Branch provides strategic
coordination of Health Digital and ICT programs and projects to support the Department's
policy and reform agendas. This includes monitoring benefits realisation and managing an
assurance framework that drives quality, consistency, and value for money customer
focused outcomes. The Branch drives IT financial sustainability practices, workforce
planning, enterprise architecture capability and leads, the strategic sourcing program, ICT
procurement and managing corporate financing and commercials.
Section Responsibilities
The ICT Procurement and Contract Management roles will work across several Sections to
support the delivery of Sourcing Strategy and Procurement, Contract Management,
Managed Services and Labour Hire. The key ICT Procurement and Contract Management
responsibilities include:
- ICT Procurement and advisory services
- Software sourcing and procurement and advisory services
- Software licencing, advisory and audit
- Contract management of telecommunication and ICT contracts
- Vendor Management
- Labour Hire services including invoice and purchase order management
- Managed services contract management
- Cloud services procurement and contract management
The key responsibilities of the APS 5 ICT Procurement and Contract Management Officer
are:
- Deliver concurrent procurement and/or contract and vendor management activities
activities in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs),
- Provide accurate and timely advice on ICT related procurement and/or contract
- Prepare a range of correspondence, including corporate documentation, department
documentation,
- Review and/or draft a broad range of procurement and contract documentation,
- Develop reference materials including templates, intranet pages, and guidelines,
- Assist with the reporting obligations including Senate Order, Annual Report,
reporting, Compliance reporting and AusTender reporting,
- Assist in monitoring the management of contract and/or procurement activities, as
Document Management System (TRIM),
- Contribute to external and internal change management processes with respect to

Employees perform their duties at the departmental office in the location specified in this
