The occupant of this role will manage a small team of ICT Procurement officers, provide accurate procurement related advice, draft documentation in preparation for market approaches, seek quotes, and create/maintain system related procurement entries and records. The occupants will need to be motivated, well organised, and have demonstrated procurement knowledge/experience.

Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 Senior ICT Procurement Officer may include:
- Providing procurement related advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing procurement plans, approach to market documentation.
- Submitting opportunities to the market, downloading responses, and distributing for evaluation.
- Drafting contract order forms for the goods/services and arranging sign off.
- Creating and maintaining procurement records in both the financial management and records management systems.
- Support contract management activities including regular reporting and check-ins with suppliers and vendors, managing and building quality business relationships.
- Managing ICT Procurement officers and providing guidance and on-the-job training to team members.
