We are currently seeking multiple experienced Insurance Advisors to join a Federal Government Department based in Melbourne. The ideal candidate/s will have demonstrated customer service and sales experience with an insurance background, ideally within a contact centre or similar environment. This is a 12-month assignment. The role will work a hybrid arrangement, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day and will be paying $41.88 per hour plus super.
The role:
The role will work within the Sales & Policy team who are responsible for providing general advice to clients on their home and other insurance needs.
You will be required to respond enquiries from clients, both written and over the phone, provide quotes and sell policies for a range of general insurance products. This includes the DSH Insurance home building residential insurance policy, which is exclusively for those who have served in the Australian Defence Force.
Role responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Focus on providing general advice to clients on their home and other insurance needs
- Provide quotes and processing insurance policies on all product lines
- Complete reviews and manage existing policies, claims and sales with required time frames.
- Provide support to the Senior Insurance Adviser/management as required.
- Participate in a roster to ensure national phone coverage is provided during operating hours of 8.00am to 7.00pm.

- Experience in insurance or a highly regulated industry
