A large Federal Government Agency supporting a range of disability services is recruiting for an experienced Payments Officer for a 12 Month contract.
Please note this role requires Australian Citizenship.
Your new role
This Payments Officer role has high level contact with internal and external stakeholders.
You will be communicating and providing advice on a range of matters including straightforward to moderately complex enquiries.
Responsibilities include:
- Investigating and resolving outstanding payment requests
- Work through and resolve payment enquiries for internal and external stakeholders
- Processing manual payments to suppliers and clients
- Contribute to decision-making within the team/work area
- Consistently meeting team and individual work resolution targets
- Keeping updated on compliance and legislation
- Maintaining an awareness of government decision-making policies, guidelines and regulations
What you'll need to succeed
- Solid payments experience and resolving complex payment information
- Strong communication skills
- Strong understanding of payment processes and reconciliations
- Good Systems and procedure skills
