APS4 Records Officer

For over 40 years Chandler Macleod’s recruitment business has connected leading-edge projects and employers with outstanding business professionals.Our client is seeking to engage an APS4 Records Officer.Location: Canberra, ACTContract Length: 6 months, with option to extend up to 6 monthsEligibility/Security Requirement: Successful applicant will have the ability to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.Overview:The Information and Health Records Management Officer contracted personnel will be involved in the ongoing management and provision of electronic health records. These positions will undertake the administration of retrieving electronic records; redaction in accordance with privacy laws and Department’s policy and national legislation; and timely provision of records in an electronic format. The contracted personnel will be expected to provide this service to the equivalent of an Australian Public Service Level 4 standard.Information and Health Records Management Officers will:

• Assess requests, export and post health records in IAW with policy and Health Information Office, Health Records, Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform information and records management activities in accordance with relevant legislative and Department policies and procedures.
• Maintain security classified information material in accordance with Department requirements.
• Understand and implement information and records management policies and procedures to electronic records.
• Maintain currency and integrity of information and record management systems.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member.
• Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
• Seek advice and guidance on more complex issues.

Contracted Personnel will be required to use the following software programs daily:

• Microsoft Outlook;
• Objective Record Management System, and the
• E-Health System and/or Health Knowledge System
