Unique 12-month labour hire position within a federal government department.
Your new company
Join a supportive and collaborative team with a Federal Government Department located in Canberra. Your team have a focus on producing written articles and delivering a range of articles to inform the public audience.
Your new role
You're a strategic thinker and excellent writer who can tailor messaging to a varied audience. You will have a background in communications and coordination. As the successful candidate, you will have an opportunity to exercise good judgement and create positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Qualifications in Communications or Public Affairs or 5 years working experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptability and willingness to learn, resilience under pressure
- An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communication preferences
- Experience in working for the Federal Government (desired)
What you'll get in return
This is a 12-month hourly rate or non-ongoing contract at an APS5 level.
Contracting rates can be offered between $50 and $60 + super per hour, depending on experience.
