Our client is seeking to engage an APS6 Communications Officer.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Length: Start – April 2024, End – May 2025, with option to extend 1 X 12 months
Eligibility/Security Requirement: This is a security designated position, and you will be required to hold a current Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance prior to commencement.
Requirement
The Department has a requirement for an Awareness Raising and Communication Specialist to assist with the delivery of security awareness campaigns and change management programs.
Duties as follows:
- Implement and continually develop the Department’s Security Policy Framework (DSF) communication strategy.
- Support the implementation of the DSF.
- Develop communications and awareness material.
- Conduct outreach to staff on the DSF.
- Liaise and consult with internal and external staff on the DSF.
- Plan and deliver events and outreach; and
- Engage and manage external providers and contractors in their support of the above.
Required:
- High level communication skills (written & spoken) and working level skills using Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop
- Highly developed liaison skills and proven communication strategy expert
Desirable:
Broad experience in -
- communications including on behavior and change management initiatives.
General attributes -
- Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively individually or within a team environment.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision.
