You’ll be joining an extra large Department, boasting several communications branches and delivering programs, payments and services for the wellbeing of all Australians.
The Role:
You’ll be joining an expert public health team who are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated campaign and marketing professionals to join their team of experts. You’ll be working on marketing and advertising campaign relating to public health issues and initiatives across Australia.
You’ll provide a high level of strategic advice to a broad range of stakeholders, and manage the advertising process from start to finish, often providing mentoring to junior staff along the way.
Two positions are available; one is campaign focused and the other a generalist communications position, contributing to strategy.
This is an initial 12 month position with the strong chance of extension and pathway to permanency.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide high level strategic communication advice to a range of stakeholders, including throughout all stages of the campaign process.
- Plan and deliver communication activities which support the objectives of client areas.
- Manage procurement and contract management for communication consultants involved in the development of campaigns or communication activities.
- Draft a range of communication documents and strategies, briefs, reports, talking points and complex correspondence.
- Develop highly targeted content and consumer resources for various communication channels.
- Provide high quality client service and contribute specialist advice and expertise to policy areas to meet their program objectives.
- Review, interpret and apply findings from market research to support communication and campaign strategy.
Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this position you must have Government advertising campaign or strategic communications experience. You will be joining a busy, expert communications team and will be required to hit the ground running. Applicants without Government experience will not be considered.
Experience working within the Health sector or on health communications is highly desirable.
