OVERVIEW
Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Communication Specialist Officer to join their team at the APS6 level. Within this role you will oversee the development of communications products to a high level of quality.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain successful relationships with policy and program areas, anticipating and assessing their strategic communication needs.
- Maintain responsibility for the department’s website, coordinating, drafting and publishing content.
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver results and effectively manage personal workloads with minimal supervision.
- A degree or diploma with a major in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing is highly desirable.
- Experience in the delivery of strategic communication, marketing or advertising in Government or private sector is highly desirable.
- Develop stakeholder relationships.
- Analyse client needs and adapt appropriate communication solutions within budget, and relevant to the target audience.
- Research and make decisions based on sound judgement, expertise and knowledge.
- Manage multiple deadlines and show attention to detail and quality.
