Job Title: Graduate Nurse

YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
The Peter Mac Graduate Nurse Program is designed to assist newly graduated registered nurses to transition into an acute care setting, over a 12-month period. The program provides opportunities for Graduate Nurses to consolidate and expand their clinical judgement and confidence while working as valued members of our organisation. Our Graduate Nurse Program is structured to encourage reflective practice and help new nurses identify the many possibilities available in their nursing career.
There will be more than 37 Graduate Nurse positions available in 2025, with intakes in February and March.
The Graduate Nurses have the opportunity to be allocated to one or two of the following clinical areas:
- Palliative Care
- Medical Oncology
- Surgical Oncology
- Cancer Imaging
- Haematology/Breast Cancer
- Operating Theatres- Anaesthetics/PACU & Scrub Scout
- Day Therapy
- Day Of Surgery & Short Stay Unit
- Radiotherapy
Successful applicants will be employed on an ongoing contract and will have the opportunity to request a full time or part time (0.8eft) position (Graduate Nurses allocated to Operating Theatres will be full time).
There is an opportunity for Graduate Nurses to complete two 6-month rotations or be allocated to a clinical area for the duration of the program (Graduate Nurses allocated to Operating Theatres and Day Therapy will be allocated to these areas for the duration of the program).
