About the Company
Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for devising and implementing strategies to grow the visitor economy. They particularly focus on driving tourism along with acquiring and developing major sporting and cultural events for Sydney and Regional NSW. They are also the major investor in Business Events Sydney with the aim to secure more international conventions, incentive travel reward programs, corporate events and exhibitions for Sydney and Regional NSW
About the Role
They are currently seeking a enthusiastic and professional Executive Assistant to join their team in Sydney CBD with some flexibility to work a few days per week remotely from home. This is an estimated 5month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Events Division, you will be required to provide a wide range of executive and administrative support to the General Manager, Events to achieve organisational objectives
Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact on behalf of the General Manager
- Screen, triage and prioritise enquiries to facilitate the optimal use of General Managers time
- Inbox management, generating correspondence
- Complete diary and travel management
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and events
- Coordination of meeting rooms including arranging equipment, catering and overall presentation
- Preparation of high-level documentation including correspondence, meeting minutes, agenda’s, briefing notes, reports and presentation material
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships facilitating partnerships, collaboration, participation, engagement and contribution of idea’s
- Order stationery and maintain office equipment
- Distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
- Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
About You
- Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proactive, energetic and professional
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with MS Office suite
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues
Requirements
- Demonstrated Executive Assistant experience
- Proven experience supporting at General Manager Level
- NSW Public Sector experience desirable
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
