APS6 Medical Device Reviewer

• Initial 6 month contract with possibility of extension
• $53 - $65 an hour

Our federal government client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join their team as an APS 6 Medical Device Assessor

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake regulatory and technical assessment of applications for Medical Devices and disinfectants.
• Evaluate technical documentation and data, collate expert advice, and prepare clear statements of reasons based on investigation findings and knowledge of regulations.
• Provide timely, quality, and accurate advice on issues related to Medical Device and disinfectant regulation.
• Communicate with relevant stakeholders, offering advice and feedback on application assessment outcomes.
• Manage complex issues and stakeholders under limited direction.
• Maintain record-keeping in accordance with regulatory requirements and government policy.
• Contribute inputs and advice to policy development and business improvement related to Medical Devices and disinfectants.

 Ideally, you will have:

• In-depth knowledge of Medical Devices and disinfectants regulatory requirements in Australia, the European Union and other regions.
• Strong ability to interpret and apply legislative and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical skills for reviewing technical information and making informed decisions.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Relevant higher education qualification in health or science related field of studies or biomedical engineering
