The Property Services and Logistics Team within the Chief Financial Officer Branch is looking for an APS6 Project Manager to deliver support across a range of corporate governance, policy and administrative activities.
About the team
The Property Services and Logistics Team within the Chief Financial Officer Branch is responsible for creating a safe and practical working environment for Treasury employees, providing a centre of expertise for property management. The team delivers support across a range of corporate governance, policy and administrative activities. Property services provided to the Treasury include:
- Property leasing arrangements;
- Property services related procurement and contracts;
- Coordinate accommodation minor works;
- Delivery of new office fit-outs;
- Facilities management;
- Provision of office furniture, equipment and office consumables; and
- Manage the mail and freight handling services.
Treasury Property Services manages the Department’s Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) outsourced property services provider in dealing with day-to-day operational activities.
About the role
The Project Manager, Property Projects position is responsible for the delivery of assigned Property Projects and undertakes a range of activities which may include:
- Management of major and minor assigned property fit-out projects under the direction of an Assistant Director.
- Oversee procurement processes to engage contractors to deliver fit out works, ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Manage sub-contractors, including performance management against KPIs and service level standards.
- High-level client services and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building relationships, particularly with internal stakeholders and outsourced providers.
- Management of budgets, expenditure, and property-related reporting.
- Other tasks as directed.
A merit list will be established which might be used to fill future vacancies.
Desirable qualifications / Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing property-related projects within the Australian Government; or
- Demonstrated experience in at least one property-related discipline as outlined above with the Australian Government.
