The Opportunity
As the Senior Events Officer, you will lead a team that manages all aspects of event planning, coordination and execution and will be at the forefront of event planning and organisation, playing a crucial role in shaping agency presence in industry summits, conferences, workshops, seminars, and forums.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leads a team who takes charge of event coordination and management.
- Work closely with the stakeholders to understand the event requirements and align event objectives and organisational goals.
- Responsible for developing project plans, monitoring progress, and coordinating with cross functional team to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor event budgets, tracking expenditure and ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately.
- Liaise with venues on event logistics and provide detailed calendar invites for the event.
- Negotiate contracts and manages relationships to secure necessary resources and services.
- Identify potential risks, develops contingency plans, and ensures compliance with relevant policies, regulations and health and safety standards.
- Relevant experience in event management, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Budget management experience.
- Attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain networks.
- Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability, high level understanding and knowledge of disability
