ARBORIST APPRENTICESHIP
Do you love working in the outdoors? Join a local Government with maintaining the area. The successful candidates will complete a 4 Year apprenticeship to become a qualified Arborist. This role encompasses a range of duties including shaping and canopy management, tree health and remediation, environmental development as well as tree dismantling and removal.
About the Role:
- 4 Year apprenticeship, with a Nationally recognised Certificate III in Arboriculture upon completion
- Learn to inspect trees, perform ground-based rigging and tree removal
- Identify trees and implement maintenance programs
- Prune, trim and cut felled trees
- Learn how to operate and maintain a chainsaw.
- Learn how to safely operate and feed tree debris into a chipper machine.
- Learn how to safely operate an Elevated Work Platform and perform at heights tree trimming.
- Learn how to safely set up a work site, including minor traffic control.
- Lean to control and manage minor traffic.
- Work in a small team, rotating through duties.
Sills you will you will gain:
- Work Zone Traffic Management
- Chainsaw operation qualification
- High Risk Elevated Work Platform License
- Working safely near live electrical apparatus
- On the job training with experienced Arborists

About You:
- Hold a valid Western Australian manual driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle preferred
- Passionate about a career in the Horticulture industry
- Physically fit as labour intensive
- Highly safety conscious at all times
- Hold a valid White Card
- Strong communication and team work skills
- Great attitude to working outdoors
