Mechanical Designer to join our team in Brisbane.The role responsibilities include:
- Complete conceptual and detailed designs from mechanical engineering sketches or specification outlines of engineers or a supervising design drafter.
- Participate in review of mechanical/ instrument design and advise on technical drafting difficulties or government/client compliance requirements as appropriate.
- Investigate new drafting techniques and drafting equipment and recommend changes to standard practices.
- Maintain a general oversight of systems development for plan storage/retrieval and monitor activities of the plan recording system and detailed service and failure records.
- Site investigation communication and concept development skills.
- Provide support for drawing information and requests.
What you’ll have
- Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Designer.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 3D / ProSteel and willing to learn E3D.
- Able and willing to work on a variety of underground mining scopes covering shaft fit-out/equipping and materials handling.
- Ability to act as a drawing checker.
