We have a committed and conscientious team of wonderful people and as we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Area Manager to oversee a team of dedicated team members within the cleaning and gardening section of the business to ensure all client services are delivered the highest standard each and every time.
Whilst you do NOT need previous cleaning experience, you WILL need previous leadership and client relationship management experience. This role will suit a reliable, organised and diligent people person, who enjoys training, guiding and supervising diverse teams of people, whilst being in direct contact with the General Manager and of course our clients. Experience managing and training people is essential, and being technically minded, or handy will be considered an advantage.
About the role:
Day to day duties and responsibilities include:
- Supervising a portfolio of strata and commercial sites within metropolitan and outer Sydney
- Working closely with the onsite team members at each site to deliver a high quality service to our clients
- Oversee team members on site to ensure all company procedures, safety protocols, and presentation standards are met at all times
- Motivate the team to work to desired standards and reach agreed KPIs
- Stepping in to cover when required, leading by example and demonstrating a high standard of attention to detail
- Manage the scheduling of one-off jobs and periodical jobs ensuring efficiency in the team rostering to deliver quality service
- Work closely with the team to identify challenges faced, working with the General Manager to implement effective and long-lasting solutions
- Actively participate in team and operations team meetings
About you:
To succeed in the role you will have:
- Previous experience in training and managing people
- Previous experience is scheduling, rosters of activities and people
- A valid drivers license to be able to drive the company provided vehicle to travel to client sites
- Strong people skills and ability build and maintain relationships with staff and clients
- Experience supervising and motivating team members to consistently demonstrate diligence, precision and an impeccable level of service, no matter their task at hand
- A high customer service ethos, demonstrating a desire to go the extra mile to ensure clients are always happy
- Accountability to ensure team performance and standards are upheld at all times
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, being solutions-focused with a common-sense approach
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a tendency and desire to develop systems and processes and contribute to their improvement
