Gap Road Medical Centre has been operating in the Sunbury community for the last 25 years. We are a mixed billing centre with 15 Drs, Allied Health, Radiology, Pathology & some other specialists who consult here. We endeavour to continue to provide quality patient care to the community.
We are a busy clinic seeking a enthusiastic, friendly, driven, motivated, flexible & confident Enrolled Nurse to join our tight nit team of nurses & reception staff. MUST be willing and able to work shift work, regularly available, show commitment to the job if they are given the role.
We will only be interviewing those who are shortlisted and able to work shift work. Please have a cover letter stating your availability for days, shifts & weekend work. We will not be shortlisting without this.
Qualifications & experience
- AHPRA registration that is current
- Indemnity & Public liability Insurance that is current
- First Aid/CPR current
- Experience in a GP setting is required
- Diploma of Enrolled Nursing including medication endorsement
- Experience with Pracfsoft & Medical Director is preferred
- Working with children's check that is current
- Police Check that is current
- Must have experience is the nursing field e.g. Hospital, ED, GP, Aged care.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assisting with wounds, cuts, lacerations, burns & dressings
- Assisting Drs with minor surgical procedures
- Stocking & Management of the treatment room & supplies
- Assisting with walk ins & triage at the desk & over the phone
- Assisting external clinics/facilities with referrals, results, records
- ECG,ABI,IV infusions, IV cannulation, Vaccinations (childhood, travel & covid-19)
- Assisting the front desk with phone calls, bookings, front office admin when not doing nursing duties.
- Liaising with patients, other clinics or facilities & Allied health
- Opening, closing & weekend admin & nursing duties
- MUST be regularly flexible for shift work between Early starts (7.30am), late finishes (8pm) & weekends (9-5pm)
