Area Manager - Out Of Home Care

As an Area Manager, you will lead all OOHC programs and teams across your assigned region, ensuring service quality, risk management, and compliance. 

Key Responsibilitie

Program Management:

• Oversee all aspects of serviced programs in your region.
• Ensure all funding and accreditation requirements are met.
• Oversee client referrals, assessment, intake, and allocation within the OOHC Program.

• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, contractual requirements, WHS standards, and internal policies.
• Manage programs within approved budgets.
• Manage and mitigate risks for young people and employees.
• Maintain appropriate records for each client in adherence to compliance standards.

• Provide effective leadership to direct reports including monthly supervision, PDPs, coaching, and development.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve goals and enhance employee engagement.
• Communicate relevant information effectively to employees and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement training programs in collaboration with the Practice team & People team.

• Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative team environment and culture.
• Lead practice through working groups, training, and supervision.
• Lead and instil a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance client experiences and service offerings.

• 5+ years in a senior management role.
• Experience working with young people in the Specialist Homelessness Service System and/or Out of Home Care.
• Experience in implementing change and managing conflicting priorities.
• Degree in Social Work or equivalent relevant tertiary qualification.
• Knowledge of trauma and its impact on young people.
• Understanding of government and non-government funding bodies.
• Current Working with Children’s Check and willingness to undergo Police Check.
• Current NSW Driver’s License.
