2024 is shaping up to be another big year for The Mulberry Group.
After three openings in the last 18 months and a number of new projects on the horizon, we are looking for a multi-site Restaurant Operations Manager to join the team and help us drive our venues forward.
The Mulberry Group is a growing hospitality company within Victoria with venues including Hazel, Dessous, Lilac Wine Bar, Liminal, Heide Kitchen, Square One Coffee Roasters and Common Ground Project, our regenerative farm and social enterprise in Freshwater Creek, supporting employment pathways for disadvantaged communities in the Surf Coast region.
As a group, we strive to create authentic experiences that help us deliver positive social and environmental impact, with 10% of all of our profits supporting Common Ground Project.
About the role:
As we continue to grow, we are looking someone to help lead operations and drive growth across a number of our restaurants. You will be a key pillar in supporting and leading our Venue Manager's day to day and ensuring the ongoing success of our venues.
As an Area Restaurant Operations Manager, working within the Group Ops Team, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring our venues continue to deliver truly warm and engaging hospitality
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive work culture
- Driving growth across your portfolio
- The operational health and efficiency of venues, including P&L accountability across your venues
- Training, coaching & development of staff
- Leading day to day execution of company's strategic objectives
Who we are looking for:
- A true hospitality professional, with a genuine passion for giving truly warm hospitality
- An engaging and approachable leader who instils trust in their team, and holds themselves and others to a high standard
- Someone with previous multi site experience, or experience as a Venue Manager or General Manager in a busy, high-level environment
- A candidate who still loves service and happy to jump in and lead by example but can also provide excellent coaching and mentoring to their teams
- You will have great financial acumen, understand how to read a P&L and a track record of strategies that have both driven top line growth and positively impacted the bottom line
- Someone who is self motivated, and is genuinely passionate about the hospitality industry
