About the role

Endeavour College is seeking to appoint a fulltime fixed term contract Art teacher for Term 2, 2024 as a result of Long Service Leave. The successful applicant will be a qualified and experienced teacher, able to teach students across Years 7 - 11 in Art, Visual Arts and Art & Design.

The position has the responsibility for the planning, organisation, implementation, and delivery of quality instructional programs within a secondary learning environment, and will also have responsibility for a designated Care Group.

We envision an experienced teacher with a proven record in education, a true passion for Art, committed to excellence in Christian co-education, and an understanding of Restorative Practices, and the principles of Lutheran education to join our team.

The successful applicant will have:

Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education etc.)

• Current SA Teacher Registration
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching Art, Visual Arts and Art & Design within a secondary school environment for students in Years 7 - 11
• Excellent communication skills
• Motivation and a passion to work with and support young people on their journey through secondary education.
• Enthusiasm and flexibility with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
• Ability and desire to actively support the values and ethos of a Christian school.

All teaching staff are expected to continually engage in professional learning and development to improve teaching knowledge and practices. All work is to be performed in accordance with Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) professional standards.
