Job Description:
As a Creative Arts and Design Technology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing students' creativity and technical skills across various mediums.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing engaging and innovative curriculum in line with Australian Curriculum standards.
- Teaching a range of subjects including Visual Arts, Design Technology, and Digital Media.
- Providing hands-on instruction and guidance to students in developing their artistic and technical abilities.
- Encouraging experimentation, critical thinking, and problem-solving within the creative process.
- Collaborating with colleagues to integrate Arts and technology across the curriculum and support interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to express themselves.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Fine Arts, Design, or related field
- Relevant teaching experience in Creative Arts and Design Technology, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary art practices, design principles, and digital technologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to the values and mission of Blackfriars and the Dominican tradition.
- Current Working with Children Check and registration with the SA Teachers Registration Board
