Job description

Child & Youth Mental Health Service are looking for an Art Therapist to join their team. The Adolescent Day Program (ADP) provides intensive and specialist multidisciplinary assessment and integrated treatment and rehabilitation to adolescents aged between 13 and 18 years of age with severe, complex and persistent mental health problems, often assoicated with complex developmental comorbidities and significant functional impairment across multiple domains.

About the Role

  • Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary team meetings including clinical case conferences and departmental meetings.
  • Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers, other health professionals, students and external agencies to achieve a client centred approach, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required.
  • Utilise high level communication and interpersonal skills to achieve optimal patient and service delivery outcomes, in addition to engaging consumers in care delivery
