About the Role

This role works in a sterile laboratory environment and requires specialised training.  As an entry level position, the incumbent will undertake on the job competency-based training for all aspects of the role.  The role is highly supervised until competency assessments have been successfully undertaken and completed.  The incumbent will work in accordance with standard operating procedures and established criteria. 

Working as part of a team, this entry level role will work within a sterile laboratory assembling medical equipment and preparing scientific glassware assisting with culture media production. 

A key part of your role will be ensuring quality standards are adhered to and manufacturing tasks are performed in a consistent and timely manner. You will:

• Work with your team in a laboratory under aseptic work conditions, assemble medical equipment as directed ensuring high quality assembly following all safety protocols.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and feedback on progress after implementation is complete.
• Identify stock requirements and communicate needs to supply chain.
• Use your problem-solving skills to contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Undertake competency-based training. 

Desired Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for an individual to join our team. You will have:

• Manufacturing production line assembly experience preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical environments.
• High attention to detail
• Very good Word and Excel experience. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience working with a Quality Management system would be highly regarded.

This role is full-time working onsite in our Sydney manufacturing location it is an entry role and will require 3 to 6 months of competency-based training.
