Address- ASIC is seeking a full-time Analyst to join their Misconduct & Breach Reporting Team
- Permanent position based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth
- Salary starting from $87,259 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience

The team
The Misconduct & Breach Reporting team is responsible for the assessment and escalation of reports of alleged misconduct and breach notifications received by ASIC from members of the public and regulated business, and of statutory reports lodged by liquidators.
The role
- Reviewing, assessing and reporting on complex misconduct and breach reports and statutory reports
- Recognising when issues require escalation, so that regulatory risk can be appropriately managed
- Assisting Senior Analysts in the review and assessment of more complex inquiries and reports of misconduct
- Coordinating appropriate inquiries using internal and external databases, liaising with external parties who may be able to provide information to ASIC, and exercising ASIC's compulsory powers where appropriate, to assist in the timely and accurate assessment of misconduct and breach reports received by ASIC
- Communicating with members of the public and adjusting communication style to reinforce intended message and to suit a variety of audiences and requirements
- Conducting research including legal research and preparing recommendations on a range of issues relating to the assessment of matters involving the Corporations Act, ASIC Act and other relevant legislation
- Sharing knowledge to develop the skills of other team members
- Ensuring the maintenance and accurate recording of several internal databases
About you
- A relevant bachelor's degree in law, finance, accounting, or related discipline
- Experience in interpreting legislation and applying processes and procedures
- Experience in case management
- Experience presenting information to different audiences using business writing and verbal communication skills
- Experience in adapting and responding to change and the ability to cope with the pressure of high workload volumes
