About the Opportunity
The Senior Financial Accountant makes a significant contribution to the monitoring of the integrity and accuracy of financial accounting reporting for the education portfolio that involves the consolidation of school and preschool financial information, as well as providing strategic financial accounting and system advice to department officers, schools and preschools, which in turn ensures critical government financial management goals, policies, legislation and expected outcomes are met.

Qualifications
Essential: Appropriate degree qualifications in accountancy, business or commerce.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) and the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
ASO6: $97,022 - $102,626 per annum plus superannuation.
