AddressAn outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Accountant to join this leading mining company. As part of a high performing and supportive team, you will collaborate on a range of financial, analytical and strategic initiatives. The role will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial accounting and reporting, internal controls, and compliance. You will work closely with the wider finance team to ensure that statutory and financial obligations of the company are completed.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Being accountable for the preparation monthly, half yearly and annual management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheet reports, financial forecasts and financial dashboards.
- Being responsible for project forecasting and analysis including reporting on project performance.
- Management of all balance sheet reconciliations including project work in progress, intercompany and fixed assets.
- Preparation of cashflow forecasts.
- Being accountable for lodgement and payment of statutory obligations.
- Managing preparation for Annual Audit and end of Financial Year processes and financial statements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to address performance issues and better understand variances.
- Assist key stakeholders and business teams to address general queries.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Be a qualified CA/CPA.
- Have experience in mining or a similar industry.
- Possess knowledge of Australian accounting and reporting requirements.
- Have knowledge of internal controls.
- Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
