The SAPOL Firearms Program (SAFP) comprises a set of technical and business focused projects which aims to improve SAPOL and community safety. The program will digitise firearm related services to the community and implement a new firearm register to support SAPOLs Firearms Branch (FAB). The program will collaborate with other state, territory and commonwealth law enforcement jurisdictions as part of national efforts to standardise firearms information and improve access to firearms information for law enforcement jurisdictions nationwide, through the implementation of a National Firearms Register (NFR).
Your new role
As the Program Coordinator, you will be a key member of the SAPOL Firearms Program Team and will be responsible for:
Previous experience working on SA Government technology projects and working knowledge of SA government procurement and finance processes and will be highly advantageous.
