About theRole:
We are seeking an experienced andmotivated individual to join our team as the Manager, InformationManagement. In this role, you will be responsible for leading theday-to-day supervision and delivery of services by the recordsmanagement team.
Key responsibilities willinclude:
- Leadership, direction, mentoring and guidance to managers and employees in the effective control of the Department’s records management, focussing on priority areas of intervention including overseeing and/or preparing sensitive submissions, briefings, and other documents on a range of strategic and operational issues.
- Leading, developing, monitoring, and reviewing Information Management policy, procedures, strategies, and roadmaps that facilitate and deliver, coordination and assimilation of information management programs consistent with the department’s strategy, business efficiency and customer service initiatives.
- Oversight of the department’s information disposal activities, delivering department-wide information disposal advice and services. This includes the sentencing and archiving of the department’s information, quality assurance, the transfer and retrieval of information to and from temporary and permanent storage and the destruction of official information in accordance with the State Records Act 1997.
- Developing, promoting, and evaluating appropriate training programs to ensure staff at all levels understand their responsibilities regarding requirements of Information Management policies and procedures.
- Preparing timely and well researched submissions, briefings and documentation on complex issues relating to Information Management.
- Leading the delivery of a best practice Information Management functions, identifying, analysing business processes, focusing on customer service delivery, innovation, continuous improvement, and streamlining work practices.
Qualifications:
Desirable qualifications in Records Management, Information Management or other relevant discipline.
SpecialConditions:
The successful applicant isrequired to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working withchildren check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required tobe renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will berequired to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm,Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass)extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will berequired to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO8 $119,317 - 123,822 per annum(1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
