About the job
Assembly Assistants perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. They aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements. Daily tasks can include:
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by wiping down bench before job start.
- Set up and lay the job out on the bench in preparation for assembling the product.
- Ensure job traveller specifications and work order documents contain the correct information from store (serial numbers, quantity, description).
- Ensure serial number matching in all the declaration of conformity reports (DOC), high voltage testing and force testing.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Report any concerns to supervisor such as broken tools, missing tools, modification.
- Ensure equipment being used is in calibration.
- Update MSDS register when a new chemical comes in or something is out of date.
- General tidiness.
- Other reasonable duties as directed.
Requirements

- Prioritisation of duties and time management.
- Willing to work overtime as required.
- Some manual labour is necessary.
- Forklift license is desirable but not essential.
This is a full time job working 6:00am - 3:00pm, 76 hour fortnight with every second Friday off.
