- Operate a heavy haulage vehicle and deliver plant, equipment, and material to multiple sites on the MTM network
- Operate and load equipment such as excavator, backhoe, front loader
- Ensure Infrastructure team is notified of incorrect deliveries, stock levels, damaged stock or any other problems detected
- Ensure the safety of all persons working near track assets is maintained
- Coach/mentor junior members of the team
- Contribute to any works planning activities required to ensure works are performed as efficiently as possible
- Accurately report on works completed daily
- Ensure potential hazards are identified and prevention/control measures are provided
- Must hold a Heavy Combination Licence (HC)
- Possess a Heavy Plant/Machinery qualification
- Sound knowledge of the safety requirements of working in the rail and maintenance industry, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Codes of Practice, regulations, safe working practices and High Voltage Rules
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Track Vehicle Operator (TVO) - desirable
- First Aid Certificate Level 2 - desirable
- Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure - desirable
