As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive evidence-based nursing care to patients, while facilitating and promoting patient safety and quality of care. The Registered Nurse practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.The surgical specialities currently working at FH Operating Theatres include Orthopaedic, Ophthalmic, ENT, Dental, Urology, Gynaecology, General and Vascular Surgery. The operating Department, which comprises of 8 Operating Theatres operates between the hours of 0700 to 2100 hours Monday to Friday with most surgical services scheduled between the hours of 0800 and 1800. Nursing shifts range from 0700 to 2000 hours. There is a requirement for suitably experienced nurses to participate in an on-call rota overnight, Monday to Saturday in both theatres and PACU.Our Values guide our work in every action, and that includes recruitment and employment!
