Asset Management Specialist
Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Asset Management Specialist to contribute to Council’s success.
- Permanent Full Time, 9-day fortnight, located in Calliope

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and lead the integrated development, implementation and maintenance of Councils Asset Management System in alignment with ISO55001. It will provide technical Asset Management support in accordance with relevant Australian standards, legislation, best practice and Councils Asset Management System.
About you
Your success in this role will be demonstrated through your ability to apply critical thinking skills to your broad knowledge of Asset Management, as well as being an excellent communicator that brings communication skills to align the Asset Management language with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business or Engineering.
- Appropriate Asset Management qualification/certificate or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of Asset Management principles and practices including (but not limited to); condition assessment, risk assessment, maintenance practices, levels of service, asset revaluation/depreciation, Asset Management strategy, asset accounting.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the ISO55000 Asset Management series.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of applications such as MS Project and Excel.
- Substantial achievement in consistently facilitating and negotiating positive outcomes and support with a diverse range of stakeholders with different needs and priorities.
- Highly advanced verbal and written communication skills for liaison and reporting with internal and external key stakeholders and advocacy of Asset Management best practice across the organisation.
- Problem solving, initiative, judgement and work organisational skills to effectively complete tasks simultaneously and within timeframes.
