To work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders toimplement and maintain sound Asset Management processes and systems to supportthe ongoing delivery of best practice Asset Management across the organisation.Ensure the Asset Management function within Council fulfil legislative,regulatory, audit and reporting requirements.

A strong candidate for this role will have:
- To be successful you will need to demonstrate that you will be able to meet (or have the ability to obtain) the below mandatory requirements for the role:
- Current C (Car) Class Driver Licence
- Degreewith study and experience in the discipline of Asset Management or Accounting (orother related field of study); or
Attained through previous appointment,service and/or study, an equivalent level of expertise and experience toundertake the range of activities required.

Advanced problem-solving skills and abilityto use initiative to fully investigate scenarios and determine appropriate solutions.
- Sound understanding and knowledge of assetmanagement practices within a local government environment.
- Highly developed analytical andmathematical skills.
- Strong organisational and time managementskills with theability to achieve outcomes despite conflicting pressures.
- Well-developed written and administrationskills with a high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in using Geographic InformationSystems is desirable.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills withthe ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal andexternal stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively use a range ofcomputer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite ofproducts (Microsoft Excel is essential).
- Demonstrated ability to follow directionand accurately complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
- Ability to work productively within a teamenvironment and autonomously.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong commitmentto Maranoa Regional Council’s values and team goals.
- Previous experience working in localgovernment or similar environment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
