Leading Asset Management Organisation with over $3 Billion of energy assets under management
Your new company
My client is a leading Australian infrastructure manager who provide investors with access to Australian mid-market infrastructure projects. They currently have over $3B in funds under management and commitments invested across social and economic infrastructure assets. This successful organisation is a Melbourne based, dedicated management services business, staffed by an experienced team of operators, engineers, asset managers, accountants and general managers. They have adopted a flexible WFH model and truly have a team of some of the top minds in the industry. They believe in consistently providing a positive work environment for their employees and actively demonstrate this on a daily basis. Some of their assets under management consist of Gas Pipelines, Wind Farms, Solar Farms, and various other Power Stations, and they are constantly looking to grow by acquiring new assets.
Your new role
My client wishes to appoint an Asset Operations Manager to work within the engineering team to provide technical and operational support for two of their existing gas pipeline assets, with opportunity to expand into renewables as the portfolio grows. Reporting to the CEO of the assets, the role will work within the existing team of engineers across a wide range of asset issues. This unique opportunity will be based in their beautiful Melbourne office, and they have also adopted a very flexible hybrid work model. This is a rare position to step into a senior leadership position with huge growth opportunities within the business and a great opportunity for anyone looking for more exposure in renewables as they grow further.

- 10+ years engineering/operations experience in the natural gas sector, preferable gas transmission
- Strong working knowledge of AS2885 suite of standards (particularly AS2885 Part 3)

- Experienced in maintaining and demonstrating technical compliance within a Safety Case Regime

- Knowledge of and experience with CMMS, SCADA and flow modelling software
- Experience in driving continuous improvement leading to enhanced business performance

What you'll get in return
This is a rare opportunity to join a business that truly believes in their employees first and have built an amazing team culture. Not only will you be responsible for two extremely exciting gas pipeline assets, but you will also have exposure to one of the largest renewable energy portfolios in the country. Short term incentives, WFH options, and social events with the team, are just some of the amazing benefits my client provides!
