The Role
We are looking to hire a 2IC Operations Manager to support the Operations Manager in the operation of the warehouse and distribution, from our warehouse based in Scoresby.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be a highly organised and an enthusiastic team player. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have proven experience managing freight.
Key Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include: -
- Key responsibility - managing and coordinating Freight and Logistics
- Ensure efficient operation of Trumark’s own transport/trucks
- Support the Operations Manager in providing day-to-day management for the company operation
- Drive operational efficiencies which enable the business to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and customer satisfaction goals and objectives
- Ensure that processes from sales order to picking to delivery are seamless and efficient
- Warehouse operations, including Lean methodologies, technology implementation, stock management and material handling
- Manufacturing - future expansion opportunity
- Supplier management, ensuring they meet agreed expectations
- Procurement/Supply Chain
- OHS and Reporting
- Manage team of warehouse staff and drivers
Experience and Skills
- 5+ years in operations, including freight and logistics, warehouse, supplier management, OHS
- Construction/Building industry experience
- Qualifications in Logistics/ Supply chain or Operations management highly regarded
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and approach to time management
- Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage up the line
- Able to manage multiple tasks/projects/customer enquires accurately and efficiently
- Netsuite experience preferred
