The Opportunity

Due to our continued growth, we are inviting expressions of interest for the role of Assistant account & administrative. These are casual positions offering the chance to expand your skill set through on-site training. What we offer:

  • On Monday to Friday (24  hours per week). 

  • Location: CBD Perth.

  • Type contract: Casual ($32 + Super P/hr).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account process:

    • Execute the recording of financial transactions with precision, ensuring that all financial records are maintained with accuracy and detail. 

    • Performan reconciliation tasks by comparing internal financial records against bank statements to verify consistency and accuracy within the accounts. 

    • Manage both  incoming and outgoing financial transactions, process  invoices accurately, and proactively follow up on delayed payments to optimize cash flow.

    • Prepare and  Business Activity Statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statement).

    • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and monitoring expenditures against the budget.

    • Helping prepare tax returns and ensuring that the company meets its tax obligations.

    • Support the payroll process by ensuring accurate and timely compensation of all employees, reflecting correct data on hours worked and deductions.

    • Assisting in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement in financial performance.

    • Preparing regular reports on office expenditure, workflow, and other performance metrics to support management decision-making.

  • Administrative process:

    • Coordinate and assist in organizing company events and meetings.

    • Draft correspondence including letters and emails to suppliers, clients, and service agencies to ensure the smooth operation of the administrative department.

    • Manage administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, inventory management, and data entry.

    • Perform various administrative duties as required, including running errands and coordinating travel arrangements.

    • Provide customer service support to clients and vendors.

    • Research and recommend strategies to improve administrative processes and procedures.

    • Develop and support the implementation of new formats, procedures, and processes.

    • Maintain organized and accessible filing and archiving systems for documents.

    • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate events, and oversee the logistics of business engagements.

    • Assist with human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and offboarding processes.

    • Offer general support to visitors and provide assistance with administrative tasks to other staff members as needed.

Selection criteria:

  • Experience:

    • Demonstrates at last three years of experience in management and general administration.

  • Education:

    • Certificate, diploma, technical, technologist, or university degree with a focus on Administration, Accounting,Engineering, or related.

  • Competencies:

    • Able to deliver high quality, professional, customer focused administrative services.

    • Good level organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously in a team environment and manage pressure and meet timelines.

Desirable

  • Utilize proficiency in Xero and Wrike to manage financial records and project workflows effectively.

  • Australian Work Rights

  • National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
