AddressRecharge Petroleum is currently seeking a proactive Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Bibra Lake. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to expand their accounting skills and contribute to the efficient operation of our financial processes.
Who We Are:
Recharge Petroleum is a proudly family owned and managed business supplying fuel to customers located across 30% of the land area of Australia. Operating strategically located depots throughout Northern WA and NT, we specialise in deliveries to mining, retail, aviation, exploration camps, cattle stations, and remote communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Bank and merchant reconciliations
- Manage account payable and receivable function
- Perform month-end reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Prepare detailed Sales Weekly Report
- Preparation of monthly adjusting and closing entries
- Preparation of BAS returns
- Oversee site stock reconciliations
- Collaborate with state and government tax authorities such as ATO, State Revenue for Payroll Tax compliance
- Liaise with external accountants to facilitate end of year external reporting
- Support management with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, showcasing your ability to excel in accounting functions
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft suits and Xero
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
