Form of workWe’re looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Perth on a 12-month contract.
You will
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable and Receivable team to efficiently support the AP/AR process.
- Be involved in monthly reporting to clients working with the senior accounting team.
- Assist in the reporting and analysis of financial results for the CFO.
- Assist and complete monthly reports including balance sheet recs, variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
- Ensure all processes and procedures are in line with SOX requirements.
- Backup to the payroll officer.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly media reconciliations.
- Other ad-hoc admin tasks.

The role
- Be an excellent communicator, who is well organised and meticulous, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Have at east one to three years of experience in an accounting role.
- You feel comfortable working autonomously as required.
- Have a passion for process improvement, adopting new technologies and processes.

The fine print
This role is parental leave cover contract (12-months, max-term contract).
