We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team.
The Opportunity
As an Assistant Accountant at Atlantic Group Hospitality and its associated entities, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department and a direct report to our Financial Controller. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for accuracy in financial reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage Data Entry and Processing: Oversea the accuracy of input and processed volumes of financial data into our accounting systems and ensure that they are timely and accurate.
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Stakeholder Communication: Engage in effective communication with internal stakeholders to address inquiries and provide necessary financial information.
- Supporting Finance Operations: Provide general support to the finance team as needed, including assisting with audits and financial analysis.

About You
In addition to having 2+ years’ experience in an accounting or finance role, you will be career driven and passionate about progressing your career while working in the hospitality industry. In addition, you will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Reliability and consistently meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Meticulous attention to detail both in reviewing and analysing financial data for accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process and interpret financial information.
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to work closely with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- A strong sense of energy and enthusiasm, bring a positive attitude and proactive approach to the team, inspiring others with your passion for the work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
