Assistant Accountant

MAK Industrial Water Solutions is a national water & waste water treatment specialist.  MAK Water designs & manufactures a wide range of water treatment plants at its Perth workshop, and supports its customers with a network of service teams across Australia.

We are an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of water treatment plants, with a wide range of technologies, and a strong future order book for plants to be installed in Australia and overseas.  With branches across Australia we ensure a high level of operational and maintenance support for our clients.

THE ROLE

This exciting role is a full time Assistant Accountant position based at our Malaga office. The primary focus of this role is to assist the Accounts team with all aspects of financial accounting across the business. 

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the successful applicant will:

• Assist with the compiling of month-end and full year accounts 
• Manage the accounts receivable function 
• Maintain fixed assets register
• Provide backup and support to the other team members
• Other accountant functions such as bank reconciliations, BAS & ATO reporting

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• A degree in accounting, or related field
• Advanced Microsoft Suite skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Exceptional attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
