Our client is a leading infrastructure business and is on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the business.Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and other account documentation
- Checking and reporting variations between invoiced amounts and payments received and verifying discounts or rebates taken
- Obtaining authorisations for payment and allocating expenditure to correct budget accounts
- Process payments associated with the company's debtors
- Prepare journal entries and effect trial balances as required
- Collating data for end-of-month purposes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-3 years experience as an Accounts Officer or Assistant Accountant
- Strong communication skills
