About the role:
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our growing team, who will be responsible for managing tax administration tasks for a variety of clients from High Net Worth to individuals and businesses. The successful candidate will have strong communication and administrative skills.
Role and responsibility:
- Compiling and tax documents into electronic signing pack including proofreading and make necessary revisions for client presentation
- Applying for ABN, TFN & GST registration via ABR
- Managing database using Xero, XPM, MYOB and NowInfinity
- Manage corporate secretarial management system and attend to client needs as required including lodgement of Annual ASIC Company Statements
- Compose standard correspondence and engagement letters.
- Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the team, screening calls and handling requests
- Answer the phone professionally, respond to enquiries and takes and relays messages effectively
- Liaise with ATO and ASIC
- The successful candidate will have at least 12 months professional accounting practice experience
- Experience with Xero, XPM and MYOB is preferred
- Outstanding relationship and communication skills are also essential as the role requires extensive contact with your client base.
