About the job
Our Assistant Accountant is a great opportunity for an early career graduate interested in expanding experience in general accounting and financial tasks.
This diverse role will undertake end of month financial tasks, project work, budget preparation, and support the maintenance of the asset register for plant and IT assets.
To be successful in the role, you will have strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills and be adaptable to changing circumstances. As someone with effective organisational skills, you will be self-lead in managing your work, and able to work well under guidance and direction. As the position works as part of a team and is expected to liaise with key stakeholders across the Council, effective interpersonal and communication skills is required.

The finer details
The position is offered on a full-time fixed term contract until 8th August 2025 and classified at Administration Level 4, with a base salary starting from $88,563 per annum plus super and annual leave loading.
