The role: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Kiwa Head Office Finance Team on a 12 month maternity leave contract.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Controller and has the opportunity to contribute across all aspects of the Group’s finance needs. This is a unique chance to build experience within a consolidated reporting entity within a small, high performing team.
Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Work with the Financial Controller and prepare the monthly consolidation of results including monthly Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements.
- Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and processing of month end journal entries
- Assist in the preparation of the annual financial budget for corporate business units.
- Assist in the preparation of full year statutory accounts and the related audit process
- Prepare appropriate State and Federal taxation compliance and reporting requirements (PAYG tax, payroll tax, GST and tax equivalents)
- Assist the Financial Controller in ensuring Risk/ Internal Audit compliance.
- Provide accounting and operational support to the wider company
- 1-2 years commercial experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Eager to learn new systems
- Agile and able to adapt to changing of priorities and manage ad-hoc tasks
- Ability to self-start and work independently.
- A practical, willing can-do attitude and ability to build relationships within the organization
- Proactive attitude and desire to work in a close team environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (dealing with stakeholders).
