Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper

Flower Master is a growing import wholesale flower distributor with over 12 years experience based in WA. We are looking to expand our reach across Australia and therefore we are looking to expand our team.

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper on a part time basis to assist our business. This roles hours will depend on availability and workload.

Your new role 
You will support our Accounts Manager with a varied range of accounting tasks, allowing you the opportunity to grow and develop in a supportive and collaborative environment. 

Your key responsibilities include:  

• Management of the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. 
• Completion of employee expenses and credit card reconciliations with precision. 
• Management of monthly client invoicing/adjustments and assist in setting up new vendors on accounting systems (MYOB). 
• Preparation of payroll and support with all payroll queries, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial systems. 
• Involvement in ad hoc project work, showcasing your versatility and contributing to the continuous improvement of our financial processes. 

Your new role  

• You have completed an undergraduate degree in accounting and/or hold a CPA qualification or in the process of completing. 
• You exhibit confident and professional communication with colleagues and enjoy working collaboratively. 
• You have an aptitude for software, systems and technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Experience with MYOB is essential. 
• Payroll experience preferred but not essential
