About This Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Admissions Officer to provides a range of student administrative support services within the Faculty of Medicine Admissions team.
Reporting to the Senior Admissions Officer, the primary purpose of this position is to provide high quality customer service and administrative support with regard to matters relating to prospective students and applicants applying for the MD program within the Faculty of Medicine. This position will have responsibility for completing a diverse range of administrative processing tasks and associated day-to-day problem resolution and maintenance of administrative systems. The position is required to provide high quality customer service through the delivery of friendly, helpful, accurate, and informative advice and services to students, professional and academic staff.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide high quality customer services to prospective and current applicants to the MD program.
Apply a sound general knowledge of student and academic administration and develop specific knowledge of the policies and procedures.
Receive and process standard applications, requests, and pre-requisite assessments utilising various information systems, assist with administration of the multiple mini-interviews.
This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position through to 14th March 2025.
At HEW level 4, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $71,640 - $75,957, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $83,818 - $88,870 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.

About You
Completion of a diploma level qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
High level computing skills, preferably using Microsoft Office software.
Excellent interpersonal and written skills, a commitment to providing high level service.
Ability to work as part of a team and to organise work flow to meet competing demands and deadlines.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work.
A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of customer service.
An empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft Office, SI-net, Business Objects, and the use of CRM systems is desirable.
Other
Ability to work outside of standard working hours during periods of peak operational workloads.
Some travel between Herston and St Lucia campuses may be required.
