Freo Group is the foremost provider of crane hire services and project material logistics management in Australia. The company provides crane hire, heavy lift, project logistics management, oversize transport, materials handling, warehousing and storage with support bases located across Australia.
Due to internal promotion we are seeking an experienced Assistant Branch Manager. This position is based in the Northwest region of Western Australia working a 9:5 roster within a responsive, high performing team.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will hold accountability and responsibility for, but not limited to:
Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures for the areas of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment
Monthly KPI reporting
Ensuring assets and personnel are compliant and mobilised as required
Manage labour requirements and rosters to ensure full utilization of resources
Oversee the development and performance management of the team
Foster a positive team culture
Focus on all areas of customer relations including addressing enquires, quoting of jobs and collaborating to ensure outstanding quality of service
Overseeing all contractual matters relating to the project or other scopes of work
Point of contact for all human resource matters for the Branch.
Requirements for Success:
Strong understanding of crane operations, machinery hire, logistics/ transport
Demonstrated ability to understand profit & loss statements inclusive gross profits and labour as percentage of sales
Sound knowledge of KPI's and their use in monitoring and managing the operation
Proven ability to communicate both orally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues and manage meetings
Demonstrate ability to work effectively within a team environment with a strong sense of leadership,
Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise and to work under pressure to ensure internal services are efficient to operations
Intermediate to advanced computer and business accounting skills
Excellent relationship building, problem solving, negotiation and leadership skills
Ability and willingness to coach and mentor
Sound analytical skills and ability to challenge existing practices to identify justifiable improvement opportunities
Appropriate qualifications in Management (i.e. Diploma or higher) is preferred.
